Taylor Swift is at the center of a nearly quarter of a million dollar scam that she knew nothing about. According to CBS New York, two men from Westchester County, New York claimed to be affiliated with agents for Taylor Swift and convinced a California investor that they wanted to put on a concert. They are accused of stealing nearly $225,000 from the investor and are being charged with grand larceny and criminal possession of a forged instrument. The men reportedly drew up and forged bogus contracts requesting $500,000 to have Taylor Swift perform a concert in Phoenix, AZ on March 9, 2010. They received $375,000, of which they returned $150,000 after the investor became suspicious. Both men were arrested and released on bail and are due back in court in April. They face five to fifteen years in prison if convicted.
