Not surprisingly, according to a new Forbes list of the top earning women in the music industry in 2012, Taylor Swift is in the top three, along with Britney Spears and Rihanna.  Britney, who earns $15 million for her appearance on The X Factor, made $58 million in 2012, followed by Taylor, who made $57 million through her music, touring  and endorsement deals, and Rihanna, who brought in $53 million.  This is the second year in a row that Taylor Swift has been one of the top two earning females in the music business according to Forbes.  Lady Gaga, who was #1 last year, came in fourth this year with earnings of $52 million, followed by Katy Perry who rounded out the top five bringing in $45 million in 2012.
