Sunny Sweeney Asks Fans to “Click in the Box” as ACM Awards New Artist Awards Voting Begins

Fan voting for the New Artist ACM Awards opens today at 12pm ET, and if the awards were given to the most creative campaign video, Sunny Sweeney would be a shoe-in for the New Female Vocalist category.  This is Sunny’s first-ever award nomination and she says it was her husband’s idea to write a song called “Click in the Box” based on a parody song Justin Timberlake and Andy Samberg performed a couple of years ago on Saturday Night Live (“Dick in a Box”).  She recorded a video for the cleverly written song on Nashville’s pedestrian bridge overlooking LP Field, the home of the Tennessee Titans.  You can see the video below.

Sunny is nominated against Kacey Musgraves and Jana Kramer.  To vote for New Female, New Male (Lee Brice, Brantley Gilbert or Hunter Hayes) and New Group (Florida Georgia Line, Thompson Square or Love and Theft) log onto voteACM.com between now and February 4th.
