Miranda Lambert is planning to add to her business ventures with a bed and breakfast in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, but she explains that The Ladysmith will be more than just a bed and breakfast.  “I bought the building across the street from the Pink Pistol in Tishomingo, Oklahoma,” says Miranda.  “It was built in 1901, so it’s been over a year of renovations.  It is a bed and breakfast but it’s also an events center, so you can rent it for weddings and showers and private parties and all kinds of stuff.  But it does have eight rooms.”

While Miranda is funding the venture she plans to have other people running it because she says, “I have no idea what I’m doing.  I don’t know how to run a bed and breakfast or anything about it.  But it’s too beautiful of a building not to restore.”

The plan is to open The Ladysmith in late summer, but Miranda says, “I’m not setting a date because I don’t want to set myself up for failure, but it’s really beautiful and I think it’s going to be so much fun for people.”

If you’re considering taking a trip to visit the Pink Pistol and The Ladysmith when it’s open, Miranda recommends flying into either Dallas or Oklahoma City, both of which are about an hour and a half away from Tishomingo.
