Luke Bryan played a small part in helping to rescue a neighbor’s horse last week that fell into a local river just north of Nashville. According to WSMV-TV, The 15-year old horse had apparently wandered too far through the backfield of her owners property when the rain-soaked ground gave way, causing the horse to tumble 15 feet into the Harpeth River. The horse was struggling to keep its head above the water when Luke, who just happened to be boating the river that day, spotted the horse and was able to alert the family and rescuers. Owner Janet McCormick says, “It was a blessing. If they hadn’t been going down the river in the boat, I wouldn’t have known that she’d fallen in.” The horse was ultimately pulled back on shore and is expected to make a full recovery.
