Jason Aldean’s publicist has confirmed that he will be making his acting debut in a new movie called Sweetwater, starring Ed Harris and January Jones, which will make its premiere at the upcoming Sundance Film Festival later this month.  There’s no word on what character Jason will play in the film, but the movie, which was shot last year in New Mexico, is set in the untamed desert of 1880s New Mexico, according to the film’s synopsis.  January Jones plays a prostitute turned doting farmer’s wife who is forced to seek vigilante justice when a power-hungry, self-proclaimed prophet named Josiah unleashes violence in the community.  Ed Harris plays the shrewd yet eccentric Sheriff in the battle of good versus evil and faith versus fanaticism in the sleepy town of Sweetwater.  Although Jason is trying his hand at acting, he has a full music plate in 2013 and he says, “I may dabble in some things here and there, movies or whatever maybe here and there, but music will always kinda be my main focus.”
