When we first talked to Carrie Underwood about the new video for her song, “Two Black Cadillacs,” she said hinted that it was based on “something” that both she and the director, P.R. Brown, are both big fans of, and that the killer in the video is not who you would expect.  We now know the video was inspired by the Stephen King novel Christine, in which the car is the killer.  Carrie revealed in a behind-the-scenes interview from the set of the video that she actually reached out to Stephen King and got his permission to use the storyline before shooting the video.  She said, “If the car did the killing, I just thought that would be a cool little twist to the story. I told him (King) that I would never wanna do this if you didn’t sign off on it first.”
