Brantley Gilbert recently reached 1,000,000 million “likes” on his Facebook page, which is rare for a newer artist, but he thinks it has a lot to do with the fact that he and his people really appreciate his fans and don’t even like to call them fans. “We don’t have fans, we have friends,” says Brantley. “You know a friend’s somebody who supports you. These people are paying up to 25 bucks, 30 bucks, 40 bucks a ticket to come out and see us. That’s support in my book. That means a lot to us.” And because Brantley knows people are spending their hard-earned money and valuable time to support him he says, “We cater to those people. We make sure they know we appreciate it and I think that has a lot to do with it.” In turn, Brantley says, “They honestly feel like they’re a part of this movement rather than being on the sidelines and cheering on, you know, if something blows up. They’re digging in down there, and really, every time there’s a vote or we do something online they’re making it a point to get on there and do something because they know their input matters… We call it the BG Nation and it’s rapidly growing.”
BG Nation is sure to get even bigger when Brantley hits the road this fall on his first headlining tour, the Hell on Wheels Tour.
