Brad Paisley will kick off his four-night Scandinavian tour tonight in Stockholm, Sweden with The Band Perry as his opening act. It was just over a year ago that Brad first made the trip to Scandinavia and Europe, playing smaller theaters, and making the commitment to build his fan base overseas. On this trip he is playing four sold out shows in arenas in Stockholm and Goteborg, Sweden and Oslo and Stavanger, Norway. He’ll then travel to Dublin, Ireland with TBP, where they will be playing a nearly sold out show at Dublin’s famed O2 Arena. Plus, we hear Brad already has plans to return to the UK in 2013.
The Band Perry has also committed to building their fan base overseas. In fact, after they open the five shows for Brad, they will stay in Europe to play four of their own headlining shows in the UK. This marks their second trip to Europe in 2012.
With acts like Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, Lady Antebellum, Taylor Swift and others making trips to Europe a regular part of their touring schedules, the country music fan base in that part of the world continues to grow. We’ve learned another superstar country music act will be announcing their first European tour in 2013 as well.
