One guy who received an invitation to Carrie Underwood’s wedding is Craig Morgan, who spent the last couple of months on the road with Carrie as one of the opening acts on her Play On tour. Unfortunately he won’t be at the wedding because he tells Country Weekly, “I’m working, so I don’t get to go.” Craig says he and Carrie’s fiancée, Mike Fisher, “really hit it off. We share a lot of common interests. I think they are going to have a great marriage. He’s a great man and she’s a good lady, and a sweet girl.” If the widely reported date of July 10th is actually when Carrie and Mike are getting married, Craig will be indeed be working, playing the Morgan Fair in Jackson, Illinois. Craig did have some words of advice for Carrie sort of, when it comes to balancing her new marriage and her career. Apparently Carrie doesn’t like to work on songwriting on the road, but Craig told her he thinks that will change. “I told her that when I’m home I try to spend as much time with my family and my kids as I can, so I do a lot of writing on the road.” Craig shared with Country Weekly, so he thinks she will probably start writing more when she’s out on the road once she and Mike are married.
