Justin Moore: "I Absolutely Hate Halloween"

Halloween is Saturday, but one guy who won’t be dressing up is Justin Moore.  He told us at the party earlier this week to celebrate his number one song, “Small Town USA,” “I absolutely hate Halloween.  I do.  Everybody makes fun of me cause I despise Halloween and I don’t know why.  As a child I was a real serious child, which makes no sense because I’m never serious now, but I never wanted to dress up as a kid.  My parents, they were like, ‘you are the strangest kid.’  But we are playing, I think we’re in Texas.  It’s always fun to play on Halloween because people are even crazier than normal.  But I never dress up, ever.  I don’t know why.  Hey, I’m gonna dress up as a cowboy …  Little Jimmy Dickens.”  Justin’s new single is called “Backwoods”.

Taylor Swift Proclaims, "I'm on Team Jake"

Taylor Swift has been spotted at a hockey game, at dinner and various other places with Twilight star Taylor Lautner, whom she also appears with in the new movie Valentine’s Day, coming out in February, so people have begun to speculate that the two are more than just friends.  During a recent interview Taylor proclaimed she’s definitely on “team Jake” (fans of Twilight are either on team Jake to support Taylor’s character or Team Edward to support Robert Pattinson’s character).  When asked about all the time she’s been spending with the other Taylor, Taylor Swift said, “I don’t know, he’s an amazing guy and we’re really close …”  She also talked about their new movie.  She says she’s hoping they’ll “get to do a private screening because we both wanna see it so bad, cause our scene was so much fun to do, it was hilarious doing this scene!”

Josh Turner's Family on Wheels

Josh Turner and his wife Jennifer are learning how to travel on the road with two children, now that their youngest son Colby is four months old.  Josh says they have a Pack N’ Play bolted to the floor of his tour bus for the baby, and then their 3 year old, Hampton, sleeps in a bunk.  Since his wife traveled on the road with him both times she was pregnant Josh says they seem to sleep better on the bus than at home.  And Colby is a great sleeper.  Josh says, “He’s more laid-back and has Hampton beat in the sleeping category already.”

Taylor Swift Chooses Good

Taylor Swift recently gave an interesting interview to the UK’s Daily Mail about her image and the fact that it’s her choice to be good.  Taylor says, “I’ve been given the freedom to do whatever I want.  I’m 19 — if I want to storm out of the house and go to a club and get drunk and take my clothes off and run naked through Nashville, I can do that. I just really would rather not. It’s as simple as that.  It’s not like I’ve been beaten down by some corporation that’s forcing me to always behave myself — I just naturally do. Sometimes people are fascinated by the fact that I don’t care about partying, almost to the point where they think it’s weird.  I think when we get to the point where it’s strange for you to not be stumbling around high on something at 19, it’s a warped world.”

Miranda Lambert's Red 55 Winery Expands

Miranda Lambert’s parents launched Red 55 Winery two years ago in their daughter’s honor.  The wines in the private label line, have names like Kerosene, Electric Pink and Gunpowder & Lead Merlot were all inspired by Miranda and her songs.  Miranda jokes, “The hardest part for me is I have to taste them all to make sure I like them before they put them out.”  Now they’re planning to roll out a new wine called White Liar, inspired by her latest single.  You can learn more and possibly order some of these wines by clicking here.

When it Comes to Touring Kenny Chesney is King

USA Today has crunched the numbers and determined that Kenny Chesney had the highest grossing concert tour from September ’08 to September ’09, despite the fact that Kenny’s Sun City Carnival was his shortest tour to date and that he charges less for tickets than other headliners.  Much of his $57.6 million success can be attributed to the fact that he is the only artist on the list that played NFL stadiums.  Some of the performers Kenny beat out to claim the top spot on the touring list include Elton John & Billy Joel, Beyonce, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, The Jonas Brothers and Dave Matthews.
